Adobe Ends Performance Reviews: Game-Changing Shift to Continuous Feedback (Check-In Model) Jan 10, 2026

In this video, I describe why Adobe made the decision in 2012 to do away with its employee performance review process, in favor of a more nimble, real-time employe Check In feedback process.

Adobe ended its traditional performance review process, and embraced a continuous, real-time feedback model called Check-Ins. They did away with annual employee ratings, ranks, and bureaucratic evaluations in favor of meaningful performance conversations that boost engagement and growth.

Annual employee performance reviews cannot deliver feedback in timely, constructive manner. The implemented Check-In process enables their people to take greater control over their career and professional development.
